TriWest Capital Partners Inc. Announces Close of $120 Million Private Equity Fund

TriWest Capital Partners Inc. of Calgary, Alberta, announced today the successful closing of TriWest Capital Growth Fund Limited Partnership II. The Partnership received funding commitments totaling $120 million from eight leading Canadian institutional investors and the principals of the General Partner.
TriWest Capital’s Fund I raised $57 million in 1999. It has been successfully invested in eight dynamic Canadian companies across a broad range of manufacturing, service and distribution businesses.
With the launch of TriWest Capital’s Fund II, the founding principals, Cody Church, Ron Jackson and Lorne Jacobson, are pleased to announce the addition of two new principals – Jeff Belford and Kevin Jenkins. Mr. Belford was formerly CFO of Swiss Water Decaffeinated Coffee Company Inc. Mr. Jenkins was formerly President & CEO of The Westaim Corporation and, prior to that, President & CEO of Canadian Airlines.
