Founded in 1973 as part of Agro Pacific Industries, TerraLink Horticulture Inc. (TerraLink) was spun off in 2000 as a leading value-added fertilizer, chemical, seed and agricultural plastics distribution business. Based in the fertile Fraser Valley of British Columbia, TerraLink markets include BC, the Prairie Provinces, Washington and Oregon. Originally a granular fertilizer facility serving the dairy, fruit and vegetable markets, the company grew into the crop input business.

The Company entered the vegetable seed business in 1981, chemical sales in 1982, and the forage seed industry in 1987; followed shortly thereafter by the greenhouse, turf and nursery industries. In 1996, the Company purchased Richardson Seed Company Ltd., a leading wholesale supplier of forage, cereal, silage corn, lawn and turf grass seeds in B.C. In 1999, the Company acquired South Valley Sales with outlets in Oliver and Keremeos, BC. South Valley supplies crop products to the vitaculture industry in the South Okanagan region, including produce packaging and irrigation supplies. In May 2003 the company purchased Gro-tec Greenhouse Systems Ltd. of Langley, BC, a supplier of greenhouse structures, coverings, equipment and supplies.

October 2003 saw the completion of the acquisition of Black Earth Humates Ltd., a world-class supplier of humate products, exporting their agronomic products to the USA, Europe and Asian markets. Black Earth’s humalite product is widely distributed in North America to the oil and gas drilling industry. TerraLink’s Abbotsford location is the site of the leading wholesaler/retailer of agronomic products and services in BC. The Company has been a leading player in the development of the industry, routinely bringing novel technology and new products to market.

Products & Services
TerraLink’s proprietary products are marketed with leading brand names and the company maintains a long-standing reputation and history within its market. TerraLink operates as a convenient, one-stop outlet for growers of forage, fruit, vegetable, turf, ornamental, and greenhouse crops. Services include custom spreading, vineyard, spraying, and soil fumigation. Rental equipment is available for handling bulk fertilizer and lime.
