Swiss Water Decaffeinated Coffee Co. Inc. owns the patented premium quality Swiss Water® process for decaffeinating coffee and the well-known Swiss Water® trade-mark. This unique process uses only pure water to decaffeinate “green” or un-roasted coffees for the specialty coffee trade around the world. Swiss Water currently sells to customers in the United States, Canada, the U.K., Australia, Japan, and Mexico.

Originally formed in 1988 as the decaffeination resource for the Nabob Coffee Company, Swiss Water was later sold along with the Nabob Coffee Company to Kraft Canada. In May 2000, Kraft sold its interest in the Swiss Water facility, at which time the Swiss Water Decaffeinated Coffee Co. Inc. was formed.

The Swiss Water® brand has been developed by focusing on premium quality decaffeination and quality control, and supported by strong consumer marketing. The brand has become well recognized in North America for providing consumers high quality decaffeinated coffees that have the benefit of being all-natural. No chemicals are used to process the coffees.

Swiss Water is a decaffeinator of green coffee beans using a patented, 100% natural and 100% organic process. Continued investment in consumer brand recognition is at the core of building the Swiss Water business and the businesses of its customers. This natural positioning is further enhanced by the organic certification from the OCIA and Demeter that enables the processing of organically certified coffees with integrity from around the world. Swiss Water® is the only process in the Americas that has organic certification.
