Aetas Health Care Inc. began providing in-home health care, support services, and child and family services in Alberta in 1971. As a TriWest partner, the Company had agencies in Calgary, Red Deer and Edmonton that were pioneers in the Canadian home care industry. All day-to-day interactions were governed by a system of values emphasizing caring, compassion, respect, integrity, and excellence.

The mission of Aetas Health Care was to provide compassionate health care and support in a manner that preserved human dignity and the right to self-determination and independence within a home, community or institutional setting. Aetas Health Care services were customized to the needs of the client, respecting his or her spiritual, emotional and physical needs.

The Company aimed to promote well-being in a holistic and caring manner, offer individuals an alternative to hospital or institutional care, assist with daily living needs, and provide specialized services when required.

Aetas Health Care provided services 24 hours a day, seven days a week with staff comprised of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Personal Care Attendants and Home Support Workers. The Company provided health care and support in any setting (such as home, lodge, nursing home, and hospital).
